Updated: Jan 27, 2020

Happy Halloween everyone! TRICK OR TREAT? Would you like one of my special apples?

Posion Apples

Number of Servings: 6

APPROXIMATE THC PER SERVING*

5mg per serving

Ingredients

6 Apples (yellow, green or light pink work best)

1 lemon

1/4 cup baking soda

2 1/2 cups Cane Sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1 cup water

1 gm “decarbed” kief

Wilton Black food coloring gel

Wilton Blue food coloring gel

Candy Thermometer

6 12” branches (to hold the apple)

Steps

  1. Wash and twist stems off of apples

  2. Mix lemon and baking soda together. Use to remove wax from apples.

  3. Bring a pot of water to a boil.

  4. Place de-waxed apples in apples for 15-20 seconds to remove all wax residue. Set aside on towel paper to dry.

  5. Stick 1 branch into the core of each apple.

  6. Prepare a sheet of parchment paper by spraying with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

  7. In a small sauce pot, combine sugar, decarbed kief, corn syrup and water and bring to a boil.

Add in 5 drops of blue food coloring and 2 drops of black food coloring

  1. Set candy thermometer in pot and boil over low/medium heat until temperature just reaches 300ºF.

  2. Remove from heat and dip and spin apples to coat. Place on parchment paper.

  3. Work quickly because the candy coating will harden rather fast. ]

Let cool and dry and voila!
